A: DIAGNOSTICS is just 1 word for the many functions it can put right but the main one is to find faults and errors that your cars ECU "Brain" records but you can't see till a light comes on the dash.

Q: What is the meaning of a fault light eg.Airbag,Engine Management,Abs.?

A: The light represents a fault code in the ECU which i read and hopefully can fix fast if its not to serious most problems are due to a faulty sensor which i can change then reset the light.

Q: Why do faults occur.?

A: 9 times out of 10 its due to general wear and tear eg=Age,Mileage,or sometimes to stop something more serious happening to the engine or electrics.

MILEAGE CORRECTION

Q: What is MILEAGE CORRECTION.?
A: MILEAGE CORRECTION is when i can rewrite the mileage back to the vehicles original due to a false reading or total loss due to a fault.
Q: What causes this problem.?
A: A number of things can cause this but one of the main causes is a FLAT BATTERY as new cars store there information like a computer and when the car is jump started the power surge usually corrupts the eerpom data. Another cause is due to electrical faults it may have had repaired or even when a car has been welded sometimes the charge a welder produces can wipe the information from the car.

Q: What is RESETTING THE SERVICE REMINDER.?
A: RESETTING THE SERVICE REMINDER is when you've taken your car to a normal garage not a main dealer some don't reset this information so you still have SERVICE NOW on the dash or OIL SERVICE both of which i can reset.
